John Joseph D'Amico

John D'Amico passed away surrounded by his loving family in Auburn, CA. John was born to the parents of John and Josephine D'Amico. His younger years were spent on the family's apricot and prune orchards located in the Evergreen valley. John was a graduate of Andrew Hill in San Jose, CA. After serving in the U.S. Army. John enjoyed over a 30 year career in the dairy and cheese industry. John retired in 2001 and relocated to Placer County where he passionately focused on his love of hot rods and time with his family. He is survived by his former wife, Sharon, devoted daughters, Giavanna (Gia) Andreos of Huntington Beach, CA and Margaret (Marti) Burns of Auburn, CA. Son-in-laws. Nick Andreos and Kenny Burns, grandchildren, Scott Barone and Brandon Barone of Roseville, CA. He is also survived by his brother Joe D'Amico of San Jose, CA, his brother Tom D'Amico of Santa Clara, CA and his sister Angela Froelich of Carson City, NV. We will celebrate John’s life, and all that he meant to us with Visitation on Tuesday, January 6, 2015 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with Rosary beginning at 7:00 p.m. at Lima Family Santa Clara Mortuary, 466 N. Winchester Blvd., Santa Clara. The Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, January 7, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Clare Parish, 941 Lexington St., Santa Clara. Interment to follow in Santa Clara Mission Cemetery.
