John was born on August 17, 1950 to Callatana and Paul Ponce in San Jose, California.
After graduating High School, John enrolled in the US Army where he proudly served his country
and spent some time overseas. Upon his honorable discharge, John started his career at IBM where
he was employed for over 25 years as a Sr Engineer.
John was survived by his former wife, Mary Ponce, his son, John Ponce, his daughter, Jamie Skow, son-in-law, Erik Skow
and his four grandchildren, Patricia, Stella, Garrett and Jaxon Skow.
Dad, we weren’t ready to say goodbye. We know that you will always be watching over and
guiding us. We miss you so much. Rest in peace, we love you.
