Jose Manuel Da Silva

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our father Jose Manuel Da Silva (Gil), a beloved husband, father, and grandfather. He passed away peacefully at the age of 81 at home, surrounded by his loving family.

Born on December 13, 1944 , in Funchal, Madeira Island, Portugal, Jose lived there until the age of 41. At that time, he made the decision to move to the United States with his wife, and children to join his wife's family to build a better future.

His first job was at a sausage company, where he worked tirelessly to provide for his loved ones. After 3 years, Jose transitioned to the Santa Clara School District, working as a custodian at Scottlane School, where he dedicated over 20 years of service before retiring.

Jose leaves behind his wife of 56 years, Angela Silva; his children, Paulo Silva (wife Maria Silva) and daughter Ana Ferreira (husband Carlos Ferreira); and his cherished grandchildren: Max Silva, Kyle Silva, Ethan Silva, Aliana Ferreira and Donovan Ferreira.

Jose's legacy will live on through his family, who will carry forward the values he instilled in them. Though he will be deeply missed, his memory will forever remain in the hearts of all who loved him.
