Joe, 69, passed away last Saturday, the son of the late Joseph and Evelyn (Sibona) Esperanca, Sr. and was raised on the family dairy in Santa Clara. Joe attended Jefferson Elementary and graduated from Santa Clara High School in 1962. He was a commercial truck driver and moved to Aptos in 2001. Known to many as "Farmer Joe," with a lifelong love of cars; including racing, hot rods and classic. A longtime member of the San Jose Roadster Club, Joe will always be remembered for his colorful personality and love of cars. Joe leaves behind his loving wife Marla Esperanca; 2 children, Richard and Christi Esperanca; 2 step-children, Tanya and Tarrah Stites; 3 grandchildren; 5 step-grandchildren; sister Kathleen Duadistel; and niece Megan Daudistel Sandau (Richard). Family and friends are invited to visit Tues. Jan. 22nd from 5 to 9pm, with a Rosary at 7pm and the Funeral Wed. Jan. 23rd at 11am at Lima Family Santa Clara Mortuary, 466 N Winchester Blvd. Entombment will follow in Santa Clara Mission Cemetery.
