Although I mourn your loss along with many others, I realize that you are finally home. You will no longer face any pain and suffering. I can only imagine how much you are rejoicing in heaven. Even on Earth when you were fighting cancer, I still remember you smiling and praising God with all your might. You were so selfless and so humble. I thank you for the wise words of advice you have given me to guide me in my walk with God as well as the life you led which motivated me as well. Uncle, you were one of the people I respected the most and I genuinely believed that people could see Christ acting through you. You truly loved everyone around you and the words you spoke were filled with sincerity and honesty. In Seattle, you always invited me to your house with open arms and took care of me. I will try my best to help Auntie Joyce, Johan, and Lauren the same way that you showed me.

Dear our brother in Christ, fellow Baptist minister of the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ Joseph Jeong, we have prayed and hoped to come and visit you. Even though we live more than 3000 miles away, you were in our thoughts and prayers. I remember the last Sunday at our church that you preached the gospel with all of your heart and full of energy. I envy you that you now are in the presence of our Lord, and do not worry about your family members for our God is faithful and loving. I thank the Lord for the hope we have in Christ that we can meet again and fellowship together with the Lord, and I pray that the Holy Spirit will comfort your wife Joyce, son Johan, and daughter Lauren. I miss you so much.

Reverend, husband, father, son, brother, uncle but most importantly, good and faithful servant of our Lord Jesus Christ!  You will be dearly missed by all of us who love you so much.  But we know that our separation will be for only a short time.  We look so forward to the day that we will all be reunited in the presence of our Lord.  We take solace in the assurance of our faith in Christ Jesus who has called you home so that he may enjoy your presence that we have known and cherished for such a privileged time.  And we know that now your joy is complete and long to join you on that day when when we shall all meet again in the twinkling of an eye or when the Lord calls us home too. Dear Uncle Joseph,

Your impact and presence in this world will be dearly missed.  Many of us are asking God the question, "why Uncle Joseph?" At first, I asked God how he could allow a sinner like me to live pain-free while on the other hand such a Godly and devoted servant such as yourself had to suffer.  I thought that if life was fair, I should surely be the one who should suffer.  After thinking about it a little more, I came to the conclusion this is perhaps the exact realization that many had when Jesus Christ died on the cross for our sins.  Jesus surely didn't deserve to suffer - if life was fair all sinners should be the ones to instead.  But through Jesus's suffering, we were saved and given the second opportunity to realize we are all sinners and all fall short of the glory of God.  If you taught me anything, it was that true happiness and strength is found through Jesus Christ. You've motivated me as well as the people around you to constantly serve others to serve God. Thank you for your wisdom and strength - I know you are in better hands now.

I'm so sorry for your loss. I had the chance to meet Mr. Jeong last year when I started working at Raintree Apts. Mr. Jeong has left a lasting inpression with me that I will take with me for the rest of my days here on earth. Here's to you Mr. Jeong, until we meet again........

Dear Our Beloved Brother Joseph,

We have come to love and respect your strong will to live not only for yourself but for God and family.  You have fought the last fight well.  You've come to know Jesus's pain and suffering on the Cross more than any man can come close to learn.   You were brave and courageous until the end.  You not only lived  your life to the best of your ability but tried your best to be a Godly man.  You were humble, diligent, lack of greed, loving and kind man who spoke and acted cautiously fearing the Lord , qualities that is hard to find in today's pastor.  You were well
loved and respected by your wife and kids and your families.  Through your sickness, you have made our family closer and pray harder.   Now we understand why God have sent you home.  He said, 'you did well my diligent and faithful servant, you are now ready to come home. You had enough pain and suffering and now pain no more but eternal rest and worship in perfect Heaven,'

We also want to encourage and lift Joyce, Johan and Lauren by being a steadfast Christians who stood by her husband in sickness and in health.  Joseph was such a lucky and blessed man to have a wife and kids like you.  Joyce, I am so proud to have a sister like you.  It will be soon before we join Joseph in our eternal Home.  God has a new plan for you.  Let's not be like a ordinary people but Christians who stand for God's mission and His Purpose.
