My buddy Joshua, the seven year relationship that we shared together with your mother Margo and your brother Noah was a very special one. I grew in many ways during this time we all spent together. You touched me in many ways and shared the difficulties of the growing pains one experiences. I shared with you my own experiences in life that were simular to my own. This was to let you know that you were not alone having these feelings. I enjoyed watching you grow up to become a fine young man. Seeing you this last June confirmed my observations of you. I was very proud to hear that you had turned a major corner in life for the better. Your many creative talents had bloomed as well. You see Josh that you, your mom, and Noah was my very first family of my own. It is my deepest hope that I did right by all of you during our time together. Knowing what I know now I would gladly return to that time and do it better with all of you. I dearly love and miss you terribly.

Margo, I am so sorry for your loss. There are no words I could possibly use that could convey to you what's in my heart. I can, however, offer you this poem, one I have loved for many years, that my mom found after my dad died.

Imagine stepping onto a shore and finding it heaven.
Imagine taking hold of a hand and finding it's God's hand.
Imagine breathing new air and finding it's celestial air.
Imagine feeling invigorated and finding it immortality.
Imagine passing from storm & tempest to an unknown calm.
Imagine waking and finding it home. 

We don't know who wrote it, but it has comforted me in the past.

Joshua,
I remember your mom holding you as a newborn baby..  and saying how perfect you were and telling me how she could stare at you for hours. You grew into a wonderful young man. I am so glad I got to see you when your mom came to San Jose this summer. I was remembering that day and how your mom was trying to get you to play your guitar for us and saying how awesome you were. You were so humble.. you said.." nah, you should hear my brother Noah play he is reallllly good". I thought, what a great brother. Your mom always spoke so proudly of you, and how talented you were. Your poems, your drawings, your music/guitar playing. My impression of you in just that short visit was what a talented, caring, kind, unselfish young man you are. I saw goodness and peace. You will be greatly missed. I know your family and friends will find comfort in knowing you are here in spirit watching over them and helping them. You are so loved. Hugs Joshua :)  Wendy and family

My cousin Josh, the sweetest kid ive ever met. I grew very close to him growing up and I have so many memories with him. Walking down to Foster Freeze to get an icecream, going with me and grandma to run errons, and helping me with my school projects. He has always looked over and protected me growing up. Although I did not see him as much as I wanted to, he was always a big part of my life. I am going to miss him very much but i am so grateful of all the memories we have had together. Josh will always and forever be in my heart and I will never forget him.

Joshua how you will be missed. We always thought of you as another son growing up along side David. We will always have so many fond memories of you, all the bar-b-q's,birthday parties and holidays. I don't know why God needed another angel but we weren't done loving you here on earth.
