Kyle I cannot believe it has almost been 5 months since you left us. I miss you so terribly and still dream about you. I miss your silly laugh. I miss your hugs. I miss seeing you around your house coming in the front room with your robe and Sadie on your shoulder. I miss your lectures. I only learned today of this tremendous loss.  I am overcome with grief, but some wonderful memories as well.  

I knew Kyle right from the start, as a baby just home from the hospital.  I knew him best as a young boy, but not much as he grew to be a man.  I have read many wonderful things about him here, and none of them surprise me--an smile for everyone, a helping hand, a willingness to be a good friend.  

Kyle took care of my cat Marmalade, when I would go out of town.  He loved animals and they loved him.  I like to think that they have once again found one another.  Kyle's family was family to my boys as well.  And not just Mary and Mark and the 4 kids, but the extended family too.  My heart is absolutely broken.  My condolences to everyone who knew Kyle and I send my love to Kyle and his family.

Happy Halloween! Hope you enjoyed the candy I layed out there for ya. Keep looking over us for things to come :) love you brother.

I'm sorry if this is long winded, or doesn't make sense.  I really was hoping to wait so that not as many people would read.  Honestly, I just loved Kyle.  He really made any day brighter that he was in as far as my tiny world went.  It's stupid now to say it, I think, since I really just should have told him; but I always hoped if he was around he would talk to me.  No matter how stressed out or badly I felt, he always made me feel better.  I try my best to not live with regrets, but this one slipped by me.  Kyle, I wish I had told you what you meant to me.  Thanks for being a part of my life, and thanks to your family for raising you to be so wonderful.

hello again from mom,( Mary) we have had a day of rest since the service.today is Wednesday and we plan to return to Kyle grave site  this evening to put flower on his grave.I want to take a minute to thank everyone for the abundance of support, we are truly blessed and grateful for all that came and showed their love for Kyle and our families.I had no idea that so many would come. The support from Kyle co-worker with an amazing lined entrance to the chapel and at the service show the sense of honor and dedication you all have to your jobs and community. I appreciated the last call on the radio. you gave him and the family a most heartfelt respect.
I had no idea of the numbers of people that came to show their respect. The chapel was busting at the seams.
At our home many of you share stories of Kyle and how he made you laugh. thank you.He was such a very special individual. for those of you that are friends with my sons Kalin and Markie and my daughter Alysia please continue to support and meet with them during this trying time in their lives.

I have so many fond memories of playing in the Ramirez's yard, and riding bikes around the neighborhood with them. I grew up next to your beautiful family, and although I have not lived there for many years, I will always cherish those carefree days our childhood. I passed so many long, summer days with Kalin and Alicia. I remember Kyle as a sweet young boy with an infectious smile. He was absolutely adorable! I am so sorry for your loss. I send you all love during this difficult time. You  will all be in my thoughts and prayers.

Kyle was a special person.  He was a great co-worker and a great friend.  He knew how to make someone laugh.  My condolences go to the Ramirez family.  I'm going to miss him.

Kyle and I met six years ago during lifeguard training. After a rocky start due to an unfortunate horchata incident, we became great friends. He would randomly show up at my house even when I wasn't there just to talk to my parents!  They loved him very much for being such a bright friendly face, someone who was so comfortable to be around and gave the best advice when you were down.  My mother called him the angel on my shoulder always telling me the right thing to do. My heart goes out to the Ramirez family..I love you Kyle, you will be greatly missed amigo.

Kyle and I met through one of the Emeritus Recreation Specialist Jennifer Metzger Schulz from the City of San Jose. We worked together and ran a R.O.C.K. afterschool program and Camp San Jose program with our other partner in crime Ricky McNeil 1.5 years ago. Ricky,Kyle and I made time to go hang out for Mogos and Scoops food trucks, after work . The last time I hanged out with Kyle was at Chili's when I was experiencing changes in my life, he was there to encourage me and put a smile on my face.  I remember Kyle as a happy, caring and goofy guy. I appreciate his sense of humor and always told me not to take things too seriously. Kyle was ambitious and hard-working and it was great to hear him become an EMT and made a difference in other peoples lives. Kyle, thanks for the memories, I am really sad you left us too soon. I'm sorry that I didn't follow through catching up with you again for lunch when we talked on the phone last time. My deepest and most heartfelt sympathies to Kyle's family. My thoughts and prayers go with you.

I met Kyle about 4 years ago from my daughter coming home from after-school care talking about this awesome leader who she became to look up to over the years. When you became an EMT she was sad she wasn't going to get to see you everyday after school but every EMT truck that we passed driving or she heard drive by she'd say "oh that's my Kyle helping and saving people." As a single mom I can't say Thank you enough for being encouraging, positive, and caring for Hailee when she was in your care as well as the many laughs and goofy time we all had. To Kyle Hailee says "Enjoy Nana's cooking up there in heaven and I'm hitting a homerun for you cause I know your watching down on us." You left us too soon but I know we will see you again Kyle. Rest in Peace!

Mark and Mary, I am so sorry such a tragedy has occured with your beautifull son.  He was special. When I would go to Longs Drug Store and he checked me out he was so gracious. He would take time to chit chat and share how well he was doing. When we would bump into each other at local stores I remember he always had a sweet smile and a great "hello".  Since I have relocated and have not seen him it greatly grieves me to hear such news. I liked your son very much. I know you both are great parents and your children are a testimony to this fact. Kyle, you were one of my sister's best friends since sixth grade and had come to feel like a brother to me. I always envied the amazing friendships you all had and how much you all loved, helped, and supported one another. You all grew up at our house and I felt lucky to be with you all and watch you grow into wonderful adults. I loved always having you guys at our house and I will never forget all the fun times and late nights spent in our backyard, around the pong table, or in our garage around the poker table. Thank you for coming to every hang out, birthday party of mine or Olivia's, and just being around when we needed it. You were such a light and always brought a fun spirit wherever you went. I will miss you terribly and will always love you little brother. Thank you for bringing so much happiness to my sister's life and to our family. Our parties will never be the same without you, but I'll be consoled knowing you are looking down on us, and probably laughing your silly laugh along with us.

I think of you every day, you were a true gentleman, a knight in shining armor.  You knew how to give such great advice when needed, could be the weirdest, most goofy guy I knew when anyone needed a laugh.  You brought a light and happiness with you wherever you went.  There will not be a day that goes by that you will not be in my thoughts.  I still catch myself thinking "What would Kyle tell me to do?". I miss you terribly but find comfort in knowing you are at peace and watching over all of us.  I love you and miss you Kyle.

Where do I even start. We had are share of good and bad times but this past year we had gotten really close. You were always there whenever anyone needed you. You'd drop everything and meet them no matter the time or place. I'm going to miss your advice the most. I considered you one of my best guy friends and this is still so hard to believe. I never thought I would have to say goodbye to another friend. This past year and a half has been rough. You were always there for everyone who needed you. The last year I had gotten close with you and you gave the best advice. Whether you were cracking jokes, being your happy go lucky def, or making fun of me we always had great times. I still can't believe your gone and truely don't understand but that's okay because your at peace now. We all miss you so much. I know your up there with my brother beer in hand, cracking jokes, and having amazing times. Well all see you again some day, until then rest in paradise Kyle!

To the gentleman that was always full of life and wanted to help everyone.  I could count on you to always be spontaneous, even if it took dragging me out of the house because I was "too tired" or "didn't feel good" or your favorite "I have a headache" haha.  You definitely knew how to put a smile on peoples faces even if it meant making a fool out of yourself.  We understood each other and often finished each others sentences.  You are my best friend and I miss you more than you could possibly know.  We cannot hound ourselves over the "what if's" but instead hope that you are in a better place. I love you Kyle.

Every time I saw you, you had a smile on your face. Hanging out in the break room after my shift had ended was always a blast when all of you guys were there. I'll never forget the time you and Nat followed me in the rig and put the spotlight right on the car mirrors so i couldn't see. Simply genius. Thank you for the memories, thank you for being you. I'm very thankful that I was able to meet someone as special as you. Although you were only here for a short time, you will ALWAYS be remembered. Always. They say some people come in to your life as a blessing, others as a lesson. You, my friend, were truly a blessing. Fly with the angels, brother. You're our guardian angel now.
