We love you auntie! You have always welcomed myself and my kids with open arms and have done so much for me and my little family. You will be sorely missed.

Hi Malia – First let me say how saddened I am to hear of Lee Ann’s passing.  My heart aches for your entire family and of course Pete.  Your Mom and I were best friends in high school and college.  We lost touch when I got married, moved to New Jersey and was bringing up four boys, until one day your Mom tracked me down and we reconnected.  Most of our correspondences were by email that I still have to this day.  Actually after I found out about her passing I re-read them all.  Boy was she proud of you.  You probably already know this but you were the “light of her life”.   Unfortunately, I don’t even know why but we lost touch again.  Life just gets away from us I guess. But every time I think about your Mom (and that is quite often) it brings up so many fond memories of our special friendship.  Did she ever tell you about the time we put bubbles in a fountain at my apartment complex and we later got caught by the police? They just put a scare into us by taking us home in a patrol car.  We were in more trouble from our parents than the police. Your Mom got grounded from getting her driver’s license for a few months.  We had a lot of laughs about it later on.  I spent a lot of time at your Mom’s house over the years enjoying going waterskiing together, getting introduced by your Grandmother to filipino food, late night talks about guys that we had crushes on etc.  In the end though Pete was and still is the love of her life.  So glad they got back together after so many years apart.  There are so many wonderful memories of our time together that I will cherish and keep in my heart forever.  You are all in my thoughts and prayers.  God Bless, Karen
