Luis Garcia Gamboa

Luis Garcia Gamboa, 48, passed away on Sunday, August 30, 2026, after a courageous battle with cancer. Although his passing leaves an unimaginable emptiness in the hearts of those who loved him, his family finds comfort in knowing that he is no longer suffering.

Luis was born in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico, and grew up in San Jose, California, where he became a beloved part of the Bay Area community.

At just 19 years old, Luis met the love of his life, Antoinette. Together, they spent 27 years growing, loving, and building a life side by side. They practically grew up together, building not only a home and a family, but a life and a business that reflected their dedication, love, and determination. Antoinette was his wife, his partner, and his greatest source of love and support throughout their life together.

Luis was a loving husband, devoted father, cherished son, brother, and loyal friend. He is survived by his beloved wife, Antoinette Garcia, and his two sons, Roman Gabriel Garcia and Ivan Lorenzo Garcia, who were among the greatest joys of his life.

He is also survived by his mother, Laura Rodriguez Botello, father Enrique Garcia Gamboa. And his siblings, Alberto Fabian Garcia, Miguel Angel Garcia, Enrique Garcia Jr., Yuridia Sanchez, Omar Romero Rodriguez, Emmanuel Romero Rodriguez, Selene Romero Rodriguez & Christian Romero Rodriguez.

Luis was a hardworking and determined man who took great pride in what he built. As the owner of Ideal Plumbing Services, he worked tirelessly to create a successful business, with the love and support of his wife, family, and friends. His work was more than a career—it was something he built with his own hands and a reflection of his dedication to providing for the people he loved.

Those who knew Luis will remember his generous heart and his funny personality. He had a way of bringing laughter and warmth into the lives of those around him. In his most recent days, he treasured the time he was able to spend with his family and the people he loved most.

Luis also had a deep passion for classic cars. Working on his cars, attending car shows, and helping start the Highside car club brought him tremendous happiness. The car community gave Luis friendships, memories, and a place to share something he truly loved. His passion for classic cars was a beautiful part of who he was.

Luis will be remembered for the life he built, the family he loved, the friendships he made, the laughter he shared, and the love he gave so freely. His presence touched many lives, and his memory will continue to live on through his wife, his sons, his parents, his siblings, his extended family, and his many friends.

A Message From His Wife

For 27 years, Luis, you were not only my husband—you were my best friend, my partner, and the person I grew up with. We built our life together from the ground up. We built our home, our family, our business, and so many memories that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

We faced life’s beautiful moments and its hardest moments side by side. I am grateful for every year, every laugh, every conversation, every adventure, and every ordinary day we were blessed to share. There is no way to put into words how much I will miss you or how deeply your absence will be felt.

I will miss your smile, your sense of humor, your generosity, and simply having you by my side. I will miss watching you work on your cars, seeing the happiness they brought you, and watching you enjoy the things you were passionate about. Most of all, I will miss the life we shared.

You were an incredible father to Roman and Ivan, and I know the love you had for your boys will remain with them forever. They will carry your strength, your humor, your memories, and your love with them throughout their lives.

Although losing you has been beyond difficult, I find peace in knowing that you are no longer in pain and no longer suffering. I wish I could have had more time with you, but I will forever be grateful for the 27 years we were given.

Our story did not end on August 30th. Your life continues through our sons, through our family, through the friends whose lives you touched, through the business and things you built, through the memories we made, and through the love that will always remain.

I promise to carry you with me every day. I will tell our boys about you, remember the good times, laugh at the memories, and keep your spirit alive in our family.

Luis, you were my love, my best friend, and my home for 27 years. I would choose you all over again.
