

She married Daniel C Monary Sr after meeting him at the USO during WWII. They wed within two months and remained married for 61 years, until Dan's passing in 2003. Marguerite is survived by five of her children: Michael Anthony, Thomas Patrick, Sean James, Blanche Ellen, and Theresa Marie (Walker) , and five grandchildren: Nicole, Christopher, and Lauren Monary and Thomas and Camille Walker. she had four deceased children, Dan Campbell Jr., Sharon Ann, William Joseph, and David Brian
She lived in Santa Clara county for 52 years, 51 of them at her home in Santa Clara. She attended West Valley College, obtaining an AA Degree in Paralegal Studies and went on to Lincoln Law School to complete her law degree with the hopes of becoming a "Grey Panther" and serving the elderly. She also worked at Mervyn's California on Scott and El Camino for 27 years.
A devout Catholic, Marguerite did not believe in the Novus Ordo Missae*, or "New Order" ushered in by the latter day Catholic church in 1969, and belonged to the Society of St Pius X. She was very active in the St. Aloysious Retreat Center of Los Gatos, attending mass every day, but only on Sundays as she got older. Also known as Miggie, She bowled in the same bowling league on the same team, with the same women from 1964 until she was well into her 80s at Moonlight lanes. She was also an avid supporter of the local Senior Center in Santa Clara and had lunch with her friends there on weekdays.
*The Novus Ordo Missae was introduced in April 1969 by Pope Paul VI. From the start, this new rite was intended to have an ecumenical nature as declared by its chief architect, Fr. Annibale Bugnini in 1965.
