Today we celebrate the life of Marion Lucas. Loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, aunt and friend to many. Born May 3, 1927 in Southampton, England, to Lily and Jim Holloway. Marion was one of three children. She grew up in England, where she met her husband, Ronald Lucas. They were married for over 50 years. They emigrated to New Zealand and later to the United States, where they settled in San Jose, California. She was a housewife and clerk for Adult Education.
She enjoyed spending time in her garden and loved her home. She enjoyed hiking, going to the theatre, music and Shirley Temple movies. She loved to knit. She was very active taking exercise classes and line dancing. When her husband was alive she enjoyed playing golf with him. She loved to dance and as a young woman spent her weekends at the dance hall with her sisters and friends. Family was very important to Marion. She would spend hours playing with her grandchildren when they were young and loved to spend time with her two daughters, Claire & Jackie.
She is reunited with her husband, Ronald; her parents Jim & Lily; and her sisters Nora and Irene.
We will miss you Marion
We love you
