Obituary of Michael Lee Deyoe
IN THE CARE OF

Lima Family Santa Clara Mortuary

Michael Lee “Mike” Deyoe, 66, passed away on April 24, 2026, in San Jose, California. Born on June 27, 1959, in Bryan, Texas, Mike lived a life marked by dedication to his career, love for his family and friends, and a passion for adventure.

Mike graduated from Manhattan High School in Kansas in 1977 and pursued higher education at Kansas State University. His professional journey began with Rare Woods, Inc. in California, where his talent and expertise in computers quickly became evident. He was soon recruited by Visa Inc., where he built a distinguished career. Over the years, Mike rose through the ranks to become Senior Vice President of Computer Fraud before retiring. His contributions to the field were significant and earned him respect among colleagues and peers.

Outside of his professional achievements, Mike found joy in many pursuits. He loved fishing and scuba diving—activities that reflected his appreciation for nature and exploration. Traveling with his beloved wife, Lisa Breining-Deyoe, was another cherished pastime that brought him great happiness, as was their shared passion for animals. Their many dogs were like their children. A true enthusiast of technology, Mike’s passion for computers extended beyond work into his personal interests.

Mike is survived by his mother, Lois; sisters Kathy, Nancy, and Sandra; as well as his nieces, Mary and Deidre, and nephew, Sebastian (“Charlie”). He was preceded in death by his wife, Lisa Breining-Deyoe; father, Charles; brother, Steve; and nephew, Steven. Mike’s warmth and kindness left an indelible mark on those who knew him. He was deeply loved by many friends who admired his character and respected him greatly.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Shriners Hospitals or the SPCA in the name of Mike Deyoe.

A celebration of life is being planned at this time.
