Michelle Ann Hernandez

Michelle Ann Hernandez passed away peacefully on December 26, 2025. She is preceded in death by her mother Peggy Manske, Step Father Richard Manske and Father Harry Downs. She was also preceded by her loving husband Joseph “Joe” Hernandez after 48 years of marriage. Michelle is survived by sisters Deanna O’Brien (Bill O’Brien), Melissa Manske, Dixie Manske (Pat Cheatham) and brothers David Manske (Laurie Manske) and Steven Manske. She is also survived by son Joel Hernandez (Kim Hernandez) and grandchildren Jacob Hernandez and Juni Hernandez (aka Jessica) as well as several nieces and nephews.

Michelle received her B.A. from Stanislaus State University and her Masters in Psychology from Santa Clara University. She used those degrees working for several years alongside Joe with Family Wellness Associates. Later she went on to become a professor of psychology with Southeastern University. She loved to mentor younger and older students specifically in helping them figure out what direction to go after they were done with school.

There will be a celebration of life service at Lima Family Mortuary – 466 North Winchester Blvd in Santa Clara on January 15th at 11:00 am.
