I didn't know Mike very well, but love his sister and heard some fond stories through the years.  May you rest in peace and know you were loved by your family. Blessings and good energy to your Mom and sisters.

Mike was a wonderful friend all the way back when we were kids. I'll remember him as Loyal and Kind and very Thoughtful. He was my high school Sweetheart and always had a nice thing to say for me and everybody else.  I've missed him over the years and take comfort in knowing scriptures promise we'll meet again in Paradise. We talked a little about that recently and he hoped it was true, So now i can't wait to tell him "I told you so!" Love is Forever, Thanks for truly Happy Memories Mike.

Mike was a great son. always looking out for his parents.  The past years Mike went threw alot but you would never know it.  He always had a smile on his face.  Sitting in his driveway you always got a "Good Morning" from Mike.  It is not the same looking across the street and not seeing Mike.  We miss you Mike, you are out of pain now, and with your Dad.  God Bless.

I REMEMBER MIKE: I WAS UNCLE CHARLEY TO MIKE; I REMEMBER MY DISCUSSIONS WITH MIKE ABOUT HIS MACHINE SHOP WORK, THE MACHINES HE FABRICATED PARTS FROM, AND WAS FASCINATED BY HIS EXPERIENCES. IT TOOK ME BACK TO MY MACHINE SHOP DAYS.  LATER WHEN HE WORKED INSTALLING EQUIPMENT AT THE OUTAGE AT MOSS LANDING POWER PLANT.  WE DISCUSSED  SIMILARITIES TO MY EXPERIENCES AT NUCLEAR POWER PLANT OUTAGES. I LISTENED TO MIKES EXPERIENCES WORKING AT THE RIO VISTA WINDMILLS.  ADDITIONALLY, MIKE WAS THE ONLY SURFER I HAVE EVER KNOWN AND TO MY KNOWLEDGE THE ONLY “SURFER SHORTT”. I WILL MISS MIKE!

Years, week's days and now only memories are here from the days we ran together, as cousin we only had 28 days apart in age. The days under the California sun with long bike rides, oh wow the places we went… and the days at the beach. Going up in the mountains camping and fishing. Each year I came out to San Jose to see everyone…..Mike always had that Big Warm Smile with a hand shake and happy to see me…Not wasting anytime as if it was only a day that had gone by and not a year. Calling each other on New Years Day by 12:30 A.M. laughing on the phone and running up the Phone Bill….Good Times… The Respect we had for each other will only be in my thoughts. The angles have come to take you now. You will be missed…Mike

One of my fondest memories with Mike was going out to the beach in his dune buggie/VW/what ever car, and getting stuck in the sand. We Where there for hours. Looking back I always loved to see Mikes smile, his laugh and always a jokester. I'm going to miss ya Mike. Your Cuz, Chuck.

I appreciated Mike's good heart and welcoming spirit. Older brothers aren't always that way with little sisters friends but he was kind and gentle. AND for a moment he and my cousin made me think we all might be family.

I sure enjoyed hanging out with Mike in Santa Cruz. He always had something funny to say and made Paul,Sean and I laugh. Good bye Mike.

Maria, Laura and Anna,

I have fond memories of Mike.  Growing up in the neighborhood, wherever Mike was so was Paul.  Mike was like the 7th Aquilina brother as he and Paul were inseperatable.  Mike faught a tough battle to the end, may he be out of pain and looking down with Willie watching over all of you.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to you at your time of loss.
