She was a Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother and Great Great Grandmother.
She retired from Maxim Integrated which is located in Sunnyvale, CA around 2005.
Ramona’s family and friends closest to her called her Mona. Mona had a very caring heart and found joy in helping friends and family close to her. Mona loved spending time in her beautiful garden which she took great pride in. Not only did she enjoy socializing with many of her long term friends, but took every opportunity to make new friends along the way. Those that knew her well know she was not a shy person by any means, and would befriend someone wherever she went. She loved planning trips around the world, going to the casinos, or just getting pampered at the local hair/nail salon. She was also known while she was still working to dress up in awesome costumes at Halloween; some of the more memorable ones were the Devil with the Blue Dress and the Bubble wrap Mama. She was outgoing, honest, fun-loving, and full of sage advice. She would definitely be the first gal on the dance floor, the first gal to streak around the neighborhood, and the most solid pal you could ever have.
Mona suffered great losses and struggles throughout her life, which made her stronger in her faith and stronger than she could have imagined. In most recent years, three of her five children tragically passed away. Eugene Johnson (2017), Jimmy Johnson (2019), and Christine Delema (2020). We know in our hearts that she was welcomed by her children and friends that have passed before her with open arms when she passed peacefully on December 2, 2021.
She will be missed greatly by her children, Kathy Rogers and Steven Spillman. Her grandchildren: Kenny Salazar, Alysha Prevost, Alex Prevost, Ronnie Delema, Shelby McSwain, James Spillman, Ava Spillman, and Brad Johnson. Her great grandchildren: Angel Salazar, Jada Salazar, Julian Salazar, Joseph Salazar and Jewel Salazar. Her great great grandchildren: Ja’siah and Janelle.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, January 22, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Lima Family Mortuary located at 466 N Winchester Blvd Santa Clara, CA 95050.
