On July 15, 1953 the beautiful soul of Natasha Theresa Bobinaoux was given life on this earth by Wilma Marie Granger and Harry Bobinaoux at the Presidio military base in San Francisco, California. As a child, Natasha and her mother Wilma moved to East Palo Alto, CA with her grandmother, Natile "Brass" Julian and her uncle, Forrest Granger.
At an early age, Natasha (affectionately nicknamed "Poonie") was baptized and completed her first Holy Communion at Saint Francis of Assisi Church in East Palo Alto, CA. She attended Green Oaks Elementary and graduated from Cubberly High School in Palo Alto, CA. In the early 1970s, she started a family with her then husband Wilbert "Dean" Lane producing two boys, Derrick A. Lane and Wilbert D. Lane, Jr. With a growing family, she went back to school and obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree in Management from St. Mary's College and began her career as a Financial Analyst.
She landed a job at Northrup Grumman, a company known for its operations in the air, on land, and in space which she loved as she had always wanted to be a pilot and work in that field. She began her career there in 1995 and after 23 years, she retired. It was at this job, over a Ping-Pong game she met Randy Leeper. They later dated and subsequently married. They shared a beautiful life together of traveling, hiking, camping, swimming and golfing. They were the embodiment of work hard, play hard.
Natasha was very good at golfing. She joined a woman's golf league and had her name engraved on the team golf cup for 1st place. She enjoyed many sports, was an avid 49er, SF Giants, and Warriors fan as well as enjoyed horse-racing, casino bus trips, Pokeno, Zydeco dances, and of course, Crab Feeds. She was well known to be passionate, deep loving, responsible, family driven, loyal, committed, and a respected mother, wife, family member, and friend.
