Luisa and Family,
I was immediately drawn to Orlando when I met him as a home health social worker back in 2001. You and Orlando were incredible caregivers to Orlando’s parents.  I befriended Orlando and regrettably lost contact with him.  
Although 6 years have passed, Orlando is not forgotten.

I worked with Orlando back in the 80's.  Back then he was known as the 'Old Man' of the group...and this was before we celebrated his 40th birthday at work...we were ALL so young!

So it is with great sadness all these years later that I recalled him to mind this morning and searched for him on the 'net and found that he had recently passed.

I remember him saying once how lucky we were to be working with the group of people we were working with at that time and that a similar thing might not happen again in our careers.

I hope Orlando knows how much of a role he played in making that true.  He had a calm wisdom and was a good man.

Tio Orlando,

When I look back on my childhood I have many fond memories with you. The ones that really stick out in my mind are when you would take all us kids to the creek to get some tadpoles.  I was always the one that was scared to death to climb into the creek. Even though I drove you crazy, you were always there to help me down.  Another fond memory I have of you was when I was about 13 years old and I was home alone and you snuck into the backyard while I was sitting in the family room and you pretended to be a burglar and you tried to come in through the  screen door.  I really thought I was going to have a heart attack that day. lol
The one very special memory I will carry forever in my heart  was when you were he MC at my wedding. You made it such a more special day for me. I will love you forever. May you rest in forever peace.

It was with great sadness that we learned of Orlando's passing. Please accept our heartfelt condolences and we hope that in a small way they help through these trying times.

He taught me how to ride a bike
And held me when I fell and cried

And always look him in the eye and not talk back to him

He cried when I got married and sent me on my way

Orlando, you will always be in our hearts and be remembered for all the special things you did and the person you were!
I will miss you a lot on our family gatherings and fun days! You use to be my partner on the flower purchases and our Christmas decorations which were always off the top.
I love and miss you but I have comfort on knowing you are up on Heaven watching over us!

Orlando now you have joined my dad and brother in God's heavenly kingdom where there is no more suffering, sadness and worries.   Now you can work with God to look over your family.  We love you and miss you deeply.

Luiza, Cynthia, Eugene and family,
Orlando holds a special place in our hearts.  He was not just a neighbor, but a friend, part of our family.  One special memory: Joe was not strong enough to mow the lawn, but was able to supervise me as I mowed it. Orlando came across the street with his own lawn mower and did the backyard for us. Orlando was very caring and a special support for us during our difficult time.  I am so very grateful for his friendship.
