Papa, 
               It's me your grandson Vito. I just wanted to write you to tell you how empty my life has felt without your presence these past 8 years. There has been many ups and downs in my life, and at 22 years old (current age) I am happy to say that I am actually truly happy and blessed that my life has been good to me in the best ways possible growing up into adulthood. After you passed the family got distant, which made me realize that you were the glue of this family, you were the reason everybody got together to have a dinner, or just to indulge in each others lives. 
                                         I just wanted to let you know that, I know that I might have not been the most honest, trustworthy grandson or family member to others in the past, but things change, people grow, and life moves on.  As of today. I feel I grew up into the best man possible, not only to be able to look in the mirror and continue to keep a smile, but also as a staple and representation to the Colombo name. I am sorry that it's taken me so long to write you back, but I just wanted to make sure that I grew up to be the man you knew I'd become before I felt worthy to write this message. Thank you for always looking over me and my family and protecting us through all the tough times, and thank you for being my rock during the hard times of my life. I love you more than life itself papa, give everybody a hug and kiss up there for me.

I can't believe it's been a year since you were called to be an Angel.  We miss you very dearly & XMas hasn't been the same without you.  I'll never forget our hangouts at the house, drinking some vino & eating your wonderful homemade Pizza. I know that Mom, Jaime, Chris & the family think about you daily & miss you so very much as do I.  Please give my love to Nonno & Nonnie, & continue to watch over us.  I will make sure to take care of the family as best I can & how I know you would.

Uncle Pat, Gosh what a sudden shock your passing has been. I have very fond memories always at Aunt Sharon's house when we were younger for the infamous Christmas Eve parties that were held every year.  I will never forget the fun we all had. While we are all so sad for your leaving, we know God has a plan, and we shall take comfort in knowing you are with your loving parents now.
