Patrick Gerard Wenzel, age 60, of Santa Clara, CA, passed away on January 10, 2024. Born on February 10, 1963, in San Jose, CA, he graced the world as the fourth of five children to Alan D. and Carol Ann (McHugh) Wenzel.
Patrick recently retired from a 40-year professional career in the electronic security industry. He was a spirited individual, vibrant and full of zest, with the remarkable ability to infuse any space with warmth. Life, for Patrick, was a symphony of motorcycles, cars, and the camaraderie of his cherished canine companions his always faithful boxers, aka the "boys." Patrick loved his family above all, he was a dedicated brother, uncle, son, and friend. He will always be remembered for showing up for the ones he loved – never missing a birthday party, baptism, graduation, or wedding. Patrick’s signature bright smile and bear hugs will be missed immensely.
Preceded in death by his parents, Patrick is survived by his siblings Michael (Cherie) Wenzel of Maine, Daniel (Audrey) Wenzel of Oregon, Matthew (Sandy) Wenzel of California, and Mary (Omar) Adham of California. He is fondly remembered by nieces, nephews, cousins, and his cherished dogs Elijah, Moses, Ezekiel, Israel, and Abraham.
A graveside ceremony to celebrate Patrick's life will be held at Los Gatos Memorial Park in San Jose on February 9, 2024, at 2:00 PM.
May Patrick's gentle, goofy, loving spirit lives on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
