

Paul Charles “Ziggy” Zimmerman, loving father, husband, grandfather and friend passed away on Tuesday, November 3, 2015 in the comfort of his own home at the age of 87 years old. Paul was born in Rochester, MN on February 18, 1928, the oldest child to Irene and Paul Zimmerman Sr. Paul joined the Air Force as a young man serving his country in the Korean Conflict. Following the war, he continued as a Professional Architect, Professor of Architecture and his most loved passion and hobby of playing his trumpet with the Capitol Pops band in Sacramento, Ca. The family will be holding a burial ceremony on Friday, December 4th at 11:30am at the Sacramento Valley National Cemetery, where Paul will receive Military honors. Paul is survived by his two sons Paul and Jon, his daughter in-laws Michelle and Karen, and five grandchildren, Jamie, Calli, Michael, Ryan and Cassandra.
