Hello. I've been out of the picture many years and just learned of the sad news. I remember we were good friends in Yokohama and the many reuniones in his home. Trains were his predilection. Hope to be able to contact you.

We grieve with you at the death of your beloved husband and loss of my cousin, Ray. I have such fond memories of him as a toddler growing up in Japan; memories of how much he loved coaching soccer but the best memory was when he found you, the love of his life.  When he told me in his own shy way how he proposed to you, I was touched by his tenderness and careful planning. While he died all too young, he will live on in our memories and he'll always be with you in spirit, watching over you. We are so sorry for your loss.  Kim and I are saddened by the news.  Rey was a good friend who will be sorely missed. We will always remember him for his love of soccer, his love for coaching, and his limitless patience for the kids and parents.  Over the years he was always available with advice on  coaching, soccer, real estate, our professional careers, and anything else!  
I'm including a photo of him coaching Aaron's youth soccer team ~1994.   God bless and may he give you the strength and comfort to endure.

Ray was a wonderful human being. He was an important part of our children's lives as well as our own. He shared his love and knowlege for the game of soccer with the young athletes he coached. I can still see Ray standing on the sidelines with his clipboard in his hands as calm as can be. His patience was amazing, not only with the kids but also with the parents. Ray, you will be missed. Ray was one of the kindest people I have ever met. He and I coached soccer together for years, the young athletes he coached and developed loved and respected Ray.
 He also went above and beyond to help our family find our first home, he was a friend to anyone who met him. We are so sorry for your loss Michelle, and are very happy to have known and be a part of Ray's life.

I was so sorry to hear about Reinaldo's death. Our family (the Husemans) have been friends with the Da Silva family since my mother's growing up years in Shanghai. Reinaldo and my brothers and sister and I were fast friends in Yokohama, where we lived from 1966 to 1970. We loved going to Reinaldo's home where he entertained us with his amazing train collection, homing pigeons and dogs.  I have so many wonderful childhood memories of the Da Silva family and Reinaldo played a big part in those. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family, Michelle.
