It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Richard Theus Rogers. Richard was also affectionately known as 'Ricky' by his deceased grandmother, Nani and 'Rich' by most family and friends. He was born on May 15, 1963, at O'Connor Hospital in San Jose, California, and departed this life on January 2, 2026. Through his journey of 62 years, he touched many lives through his generous heart and entrepreneurial spirit.
Richard was a graduate of Rio Linda Academy class of 1982 and went on to attend Pacific Union College in Angwin, California. Among the many milestones of his well-lived life, Richard was driven by the desire to succeed. His entrepreneurial spirit shone brightly. Starting out in high school, he worked in the Rainbow Fin surf shop. He quickly grew in his leadership skills and managed groups of teenagers selling candy door to door. He went on to work with his lifelong friend of over 40 years, Phil Restivo, who owned and operated Expresso Limousine. Richard then went on to launch his own business, Just Windows, providing window cleaning services to both residential and commercial property owners. He further branched out into janitorial services when he and the love of his life, Janet, started Just Facility Services, an office and light industrial janitorial business, which they have owned and operated for the past 15+ years.
Richard's legacy of deep belly laughs, long drawn out 'Nah' responses to everything; his perseverance, and generous heart will no doubt be missed and carried forward by Janet who is just as determined and committed as Richard was to helping others through their own success.
He will be greatly missed and forever remembered.
Richard was preceded in death by his father Carl Rogers, his sister Linda Rogers, his niece Julianne Janssen, both sets of grandparents, and several aunts and uncles. He is survived by his wife Janet Little, his mother Juanita Maccarone, his sister and brother-in-law Donna and Ryan Chaffin and numerous cousins.
Visitation and funeral services will be held on Friday, January 16th at Church of the Chimes, 1447 Bryan Avenue, San Jose CA 95118. Followed by burial service at
Santa Clara Mission Cemetery, 490 Lincoln St., Santa Clara, CA 95050.
A celebration of life will follow at the Almaden Golf & Country Club, 6663 Hampton Dr, San Jose, CA 95120.
Please join us and pay your respects to a man who had a heart of gold and loved life.
