

Richard A. Brugioni passed away on June 2, 2018 at age 64. He was born in San Francisco and raised in Daly City. Rick was a resident of San Jose where he raised five children and had six grandchildren. Life Partner of Elizabeth Brugioni; Cherished Dad of Eric Brugioni (Stacy), Gina Dionne (Doug), Nicholas Brugioni, Melissa Dawson, and Rachel Fanning (Zack). Devoted Papa/Poppy to Lucas, Cali, Brooklyn, Lily, Layla, and Gianna. Survived by brother Robert Brugioni (Linda). Preceded in death by brother Ronald Brugioni (Marsha), and his loving and caring sister Carol Francois (Tom). Also survived by many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. Rick was a graduate of Jefferson High School and was enjoying retirement after many years as a plumbing contractor. He loved doing anything and everything with his family - especially his grandchildren, and spending time with friends. Rick had a passion for the outdoors - fishing, hiking, and experiencing the beauty of nature. He could be found in so many places…. spending time at his cabin in Arnold, vacationing on Maui, fishing or skiing on the lake, swimming and bbq’ing in the backyard, eating a corndog in Disneyland, or flying kites and manning lemon stands with his grandkids. Rick was loved by many, and will always be remembered for his sense of humor, being an epic conversationalist, and enjoying the company of friends and strangers alike. He was so loved and will be greatly missed.
Private services where he will be laid to rest will be held at Holy Cross Cemetery in Colma. A Memorial Service open to family and friends will be held at Westgate Church, South Hills Campus in San Jose on Monday, July 2, 2018 at 4:00pm. In lieu of flowers please consider making a donation in Rick’s memory to American Foundation for Suicide Prevention.
