Robert Christopher Calibozo, "Bear" as he was affectionately known, passed peacefully in his home on Wednesday, January 7, 2015. He married his high school sweetheart Victoria Espinoza in September 1991. Together, they made their home in the same neighborhood where Robert grew up. Robert attended the MMI School for Motorcycle Mechanics in Phoenix, Az. from 1988 to 1990 where he honed his skills in repairing and building Harley Davidson’s and custom motorcycles. Robert spent as much time “on the ground” as humanly possible. Robert was a dedicated employee with the City of San Jose as a Sr. M3 with the Pump Crew for the Department of Transportation. He loved his job, the people he worked with and was very proud to serve the residents in the city where he was born, raised, worked, and made his home. Robert’s greatest passion was building his life with his adoring wife Victoria. They spent a great deal of time together riding up and down the coast on his motorcycle. You could always be sure to find them in their favorite spots in Monterey. Robert loved to spend time with family and friends and if he called you brother, you knew you were “family.” Family time was most precious to him during birthdays and holidays. Robert loved his nieces and nephews with all his heart, he was the “Unc” that made every single one of them believe and feel like they were his favorite. Robert is survived by his wife Victoria, (Mother) Rebecca Carranza, (Step Mother) Georgia Calibozo, (Brother & Sister in Law) Henry & Vickie Calibozo, (Brother) David Calibozo, (Brother & Sister in Laws) Jake & Diane Espinoza, Carlos & Angelica Espinoza, Gloria & Joe Moreno, Cruz & Gloria Espinoza, Juliet & Anthony Ortega, (Nephews and Nieces) JD, Isaiah, Elijah, Miranda, Francesca, Nano, Ezra, Kristian, Julianna, Joshua, Ezekiel, Cruzito, Ivy, Michael, Jessica and his ever faithful dog Charlie. Robert was preceded in death by his father Henry Calibozo Sr. We will celebrate Robert’s life, and all that he meant to us, with Memorial Service on Saturday, January 17, 2015 at 1:30 p.m. at Oak Hill Memorial Park in the Chapel of the Oaks, 300 Curtner Ave., San Jose, California.
