Ron was a kind sweet soul that I will remember in my heart forever. 

To Ron and Family,

Ron, we carpooled together for more than 20 years and it was great fun. The banter inside our cars was enjoyable and friendly and witty. We were never at a loss for a subject whether it be work, airplanes, cars (Porsches, of course), air shows, friends & family and whatever was going on that day. You were never at a loss for words and I enjoyed that smerk when you thought you pulled one over on me. We had a lot of fun at work too. Your opinion mattered most when I needed to make a decision on a problem, but of course I would never tell you that. I, among many others at United and elsewhere, learned to look to you for your technical expertise and practical answers. I remember when you hired on and we called you “the boy” because you were young and enthusiastic. Well you obviously didn't stay young but you did stay enthusiastic. I will miss calling and razzing you at work, going to air shows, going to see the old Warbirds at Moffett, and talking about Porsches (no one could ever be sure that you really had one because you never drove it especially for me to see). Like many others, I will remember and miss you.
Bob & Elaine, I hope you realize how much my friendship with Ron meant to me. You did a great job raising him and instilling the best values and work ethic in him to make him a great friend and fellow worker. I will always treasure the memories of Ron and stuff we did together. I kidded him constantly as he did me but it was always in good humor as brothers. I will always think of him as my brother. Please take care of yourselves.

To Ron’s family and my dear friend Ron,

Ron was a passionate engineer, a patient mentor, and a great friend to me and my family. Ron was one of the first people I got to know when I started at United in December 1991. His first mission was to convince me to play on his team in the United softball league (they desperately needed a pitcher). It was fun times. As a new engineer to United, Ron helped me understand the business of engine maintenance, there was no better person to learn from then Ron. He always had time for you and his passion was contagious. Ron was always giving, thinking of others before himself. I don’t believe he knows just how many people’s lives he has touched over the years. Ron, there are so many fond memories and not enough space here to tell them all, we will miss you greatly. 

If there are track days on the other side, save us a spot. We will be there to race our Porsches together. Until we see you again, rest in peace.

To Ron's Parents,
I'm sorry I never met either of you, but I just wanted to let you know I worked alongside your son when I started at United back in 1995, and he was a great help to me as well as a friend.  The person that had done my job for the PW4000 engine before me had left United by the time I started there, so Ron and Tim Everhart, both of whom were in the JT9D Engineering group at the time, took me under their wing and really helped me transform from a clueless newbie to someone who (on some days at least) knew which way was up.   Ron continued to be very helpful and was one of my United friends through the 13 years that I was at United, and he was passionate about his work (although to see him get even more passionate one just had to ask him about cars and racing!).  I moved from the Bay Area after leaving United in 2008, but I was lucky enough to run into Ron at a Pratt conference several years ago, and then later when I visited the UAL base last year, and catch up on things with him then.
May Ron rest in peace with God, until we see him again on the other side...

To the Judson Family and my dear friend Ron,
I just don’t know what to say at this point. Ron was a dear friend to me and my family. I remember my first days at United and how Ron helped me out getting settled in as P&W rep. From our daily work routine to going to 49er games, to Ron visiting us in CT going to the Porsche  races at Lime Rock, to our yearly NASCAR races in Sonoma, he will be greatly missed. I remember the day he bought his love that new 911!! He loved that car! So many memories! Rest In Peace my friend and I look forward to seeing you on the other side some day!
