Ronald Ernest Wardlow

Ronald “Ron” Ernest Wardlow, of San Francisco, CA, passed away on Tuesday, April 30, 2024 at the age of 70. Ron was diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease and Lewy Body Dementia. The symptoms of his disease created conditions that ultimately led to his death.

Ron was born on October 11,1954 to William Melvin Wardlow and Georgia Mae (Erickson) Wardlow in Omaha, Nebraska. But he spent most of his life in San Fransisco, California with his partner, his best friend, his soul mate (Bernardo “Bernie” Cristobal) who has recently passed away on December 26, 2023.

Bernie and Ron spent the last 40 years together, building a life with many of friends and caring for each other in their cozy little apartment complex in San Francisco, California. Ron was such a handsome man and very smart. He loved to walk dogs and play slots at the casinos. He loved fried chicken, brownies, and Pepsi.

I will cherish the wonderful times we had together. The laughter, the jokes, the dances, the hugs, and the sassy attitude.

I would like to thank the health care professionals (Ricky and Delia) from the Delia’s Retirement Home for their great care in the last few months of his life. I am grateful to the wonderful staff at VITAS Healthcare, for the hospice care, who comforted and cared for him in his last days.

I take comfort in knowing that he is now reunited in Heaven with his beloved partner, Bernie, where both can now rest in peace.
