Rose Garcia passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on December 3. She was born in Sonora, AZ but moved to CA settling in Santa Clara in the 1930’s where she worked at several canneries including Contadina. Rose was a happy person, a wonderful cook who loved life and her family. She is predeceased by her parents, Salvador and Augustina Frausto, her brother Paul and sister Consuelo Diaz. She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Selestino Garcia, two daughters, Yolanda (Randy) and Margo (Kevin) and also 2 granddaughters, Sarah and Elizabeth Edwards. She was “Aunt Rosie” to many nieces and nephews who adored her. A founding parishioner of St. Lawrence the Martyr Catholic Church, she was a member of the Guadalupe Society for over 30 years there. She will be missed by many friends and family members. Rest in peace, Mom.
