Loving Son, Brother, and Uncle.

Rudolph R. Izquierdo Jr. passed away on June 28, 2019 at the age of 61. Rudy Jr. was born October 11th, 1957 in San Jose, CA. to Genevieve and Rudolph Izquierdo. He received a Masters degree in Software Engineering from National University and was working on a second Masters degree in Network Security. He had a very successful career as a defense contractor, in which he was very proud.

Rudy Jr. loved reading, going to the movies, eating out, and doing activities with his nieces Jennifer and Melissa; nephews Aaron and Ryan; Riley his dog; and his fiancée Lori and her daughter Amber. We will miss his silly humor and playful teasing. His nickname for himself was Precious. He definitely was Precious to us.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Heart Association.

I am so sorry to hear of Rudy’s passing. Rudy and I was colleague in the early 1990s thru 2005. I first met Rudy in the late 1980s and we have been close friend for the last 30 years. After leaving L3 Communications in 2005, Rudy and I stayed in touch and often communicated, I was aware of Rudy’s heart condition from his heart attack over 10 years ago and his recent issues.
Rudy and I would often get together for dinners. Rudy loves to eat and knows all the newest and best places to eat. Rudy would also organize our annual holiday for a group of former coworker, Rudy was always so generous and would bring extra goodies for everyone when we exchanged Christmas presents.
Rudy was such a computer nerd and would always buy all the latest electronic gadgets. He taught me a lot on configuring and fixing those devices, especially the early PCs and iMacs. I have lots of memories of going to the Fry’s Friday sales with Rudy. I still have lots of his hand-me down devices.
Rudy became a great friend of my family and would play with my daughter at the company picnics. Rudy’s had a passion for home improvement and I remember all the joy he had working with his dad building the patio and all the other projects. After the passing of Rudy’s dad, I was able to help Rudy continue his passion with a couple of major improvement, removing all the carpeting and installing laminate flooring and remodeling his kitchen.
Rudy, you were more than a dear friend, you were my buddy and will be missed
