Sabrina Adame

Sabrina Adame passed away peacefully on July 22, 2026, at the age of 85, surrounded by her loving family. After a brief illness, Sabrina remained positive and upbeat until the very end, facing each day with grace, strength, and an enduring spirit that inspired those around her.

Sabrina was born on January 8, 1941, in Superior, Arizona, to her parents, Belen Enciso and Gilbert Guzman. She was one of eleven children, with six brothers and four sisters. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Reyes Guzman, Edward Guzman, Benjamin Guzman, Frank Guzman, and Rudy Guzman. She is survived by her sisters, Mona (Mary) Gonzales, Rebecca Gallo, Alice (Berta) Morales, Laura Valenzuela, and her brother Andy Guzman.

Sabrina was the proud mother of six children, a devoted grandmother to seven grandchildren, and a cherished great-grandmother to five great-grandchildren. Family was the center of her life, and she took great pride in the love and close bonds they shared.

She is lovingly remembered by her children: the late Michelle McDowell (survived by her husband Rick), Manny Adame (Sandy), Maureen Brown (Eric), Matthew Adame, Philip Adame, and Steven Adame.

She also leaves behind her beloved grandchildren: Amanda Smith (Thomas), Richard McDowell Jr. (Carrie), Christine Woods (Casey), Jeanette Adame, Olivia Adame, Heather Brown, and Ciara Adame.

Her legacy continues through her treasured great-grandchildren: Raeven Smith, Kiana Smith, Richard (Tre) McDowell III, Caden Woods, and Raine McDowell.

Sabrina, also known as Sookie or Aunt Sookie, spent most of her married life in Santa Clara, surrounded by the love and support of her large extended family. She was equally loved by both sides of the family, gaining many brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, and nephews who welcomed her with open arms.

For the past 10 years, Sabrina resided at Villa Siena in Mountain View, where she was embraced by an amazing community of caregivers who became like family.

Her greatest joy was spending time with family. One of her favorite traditions was gathering with loved ones to make hundreds of tamales—a treasured tradition that began with her mother and continues today. She loved family holiday celebrations and was happiest when everyone was together. Seeing the people she loved brought her genuine happiness.

A dedicated and hardworking woman, Sabrina spent nearly 25 years as a Fab Technician at National Semiconductor and Xicor. She took great pride in her work and provided a wonderful example of perseverance and commitment.

Sabrina leaves behind a lifetime of precious memories and a remarkable legacy of love, kindness, and family that will continue for generations to come. Her beautiful smile, warm laughter, and loving spirit will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

A funeral Mass, is scheduled for 11:00 am August 22, 2026, at St. Justin Catholic Church, 2655 Homestead Rd, Santa Clara, CA. Committal Service will take place at Santa Clara Mission Cemetery, 490 Lincoln St, Santa Clara, CA beginning at 1:00 pm with a reception to follow at Capers Restaurant, 1710 W. Campbell Ave, Campbell, CA at 2:30 pm.
