

Shalah Ann Hade, 76, died on March 16, 2017 at her home in Santa Clara, California. In honor of her wishes, there will be no service. Donations can be made in her memory to the American Cancer Society or to the Yosemite Fund.
Shalah was born on April 19, 1940 in Staples, Minnesota to Edwin and Lorraine Hand. She moved to California when she was still a young girl and attended Lincoln High School and San Jose State College. She spent 40 years as an Accountant for the Redevelopment Agency and the Finance Department of the City of San Jose. She loved her work and was very good at what she did.
Shalah also had many interests in her personal life. She loved to travel and was always planning her next trip. She was a passionate reader and a talented knitter. She was a sports fan and especially enjoyed the San Jose Sharks. She enjoyed attending a variety of cultural events as well.
She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Thomas Hade, her daughter, Jennifer Hade and her sister Wanda Eberle. She is reunited with her son, Michael Hade, who left us in 1990. She will be in our hearts forever.
