Passed away peacefully in her home on Friday,February 25, 2011 after a long battle with cancer at the age of 67.She leaves behind her devoted husband of 37 years, Angelo Filippin and two sons Bryan and Kevin Filippin.Sonia was born in McCloud, CA in 1943, and moved to San Jose at a very young age with her parents,Angelo and Josephine Zanesco.Rosary will be held at Lima Family Santa Clara Mortuary,466 N. Winchester Blvd on Wednesday, March 2, 2011 at 7pm.Funeral Service will be held Thursday, March 3, 2011 at 11am at St. Clare Church,941 Lexington St., Santa Clara.Interment will follow at Santa Clara Mission Cemetery,490 Lincoln St.,Santa Clara.Donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or Pathways Hospice.
