Stephen Thomas Santos

Stephen Santos resident of Gridley, Ca passed away on September 3, 2021, at the age of 43. He was born on November 13, 1977. He was raised in San Martin, Ca. Steve graduated from Live Oak High School. He started a career in construction, reaching the level of Superintendent at Woodside Homes. In 2001, Steve married his high school sweetheart, Crystal Bennett. They have three beautiful daughters, Katlyn, Kelsey, and Fallyn. Steve and Crystal moved to Gridley where they resided for 18 happy years.

Steve was a passionate and wonderful family man. He loved his daughters deeply and was always determined to teach them life skills. He always had a special bond with his girls. They always enjoyed his sense of humor. He liked to joke and put a smile on people’s faces. Steve loved spending time with his friends and family BBQing on weekends and holidays. He loved the holidays, especially Thanksgiving. Steve was an outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating, and camping, especially with his friends. He always had a zest for life and a desire to travel and see new things. Steve loved his dogs, Goose and Daisy, but Daisy girl had a special place in his heart. Steve touched many lives of those fortunate to have known him.

Steve is survived by his wife, Crystal, and his daughters, Katlyn, Kelsey, and Fallyn. He also leaves behind his mother, Marilyn Santos, sisters, Stacy Santos and Melissa Longoria, in-laws, Stan and Carolyn Bennett, Joffre Longoria, Josh and Heather Daugherty, Kati and Darien Lujan and his many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and numerous loving friends.

Due to Covid, there will be a closed private service that is not open to the public. In the future, we hope to plan a Celebration of Life in honor of Steve.
