I remember the first time I met Steve, in the late 90’s. He was giving a dinner party at his San Francisco apartment, we became friends instantly and always great times together. I always looked forward to our phone calls and my visits with him. His sense of humor and wit would always brighten my day and he always made me laugh! He will be greatly missed.

What a guy. A true giant of a human being. I’ve known Steve from the time he moved out to California. Steve you will be missed. I can’t believe I’ll never hear “Porter” again when you picked up the phone. We think about you nonstop.

I miss calling Steve and hearing him answer the phone “Yellow!” I miss planning to meet up for the best fish taco or meatball sub. I miss his laugh, sharing remodeling stories, talking about getting to “The Bu”, his support through everything. Oh Steve. You are so incredibly missed. We see signs from you and know you’re ok. As you would tell me at the end of each call or visit... “Be Good!”
