My condolences to the Vierra Family. Brother Walt was a very good member of the Knights of Columbus. He cared very much for his fellow Brothers and everyone he knew and came in contact with. He was always a man of service.

Walt was a parishioner at St Christoper’s Catholic Church in Galt. He was a daily Mass participant, an extraordinary Eucharistic minister and usher.  He was a loyal Knight of Columbus and a willing volunteer for any special church activities. 
Walt had a welcoming presence with his engaging smile and gentle humor. He will be tremendously missed.

Eternal rest grant unto him oh Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him.  Amen

My uncle was a Manager at Memorex during the late 1970s and early 1980s, a time when audio and video tapes were revolutionizing how we captured sound and memory. Their bold marketing—warranties “Till Hell Freezes Over,” and the reproduction of Ella Fitzgerald’s voice “Shatters Glass”—reflected the spirit of the company, and of the man himself: fair, helpful, and quietly formidable.
At the time, I was working night shifts as a security guard. He saw something in me and offered a chance to step into a manufacturing world. It was the first job that truly challenged me. That opportunity—and the discipline he instilled—became the foundation for a lifelong career in engineering. He didn’t just help me professionally; he helped shape who I became.
His influence lives on—not just in the work I do, but in the values he instilled. I will always be thankful.

Dad (Stock) loved Walter and was so upset to hear of his passing. Walter just saw him a couple of weeks ago.  Dad said please tell the family I am praying for all of them! 🙏💜🙏

My beloved husband Jim and Walter loved to banter when he’d drop by when we lived in Santa Clara. They would holler back and forth in a Portuguese accent “VIERRA”. Now Jim and Walter can banter together in heaven. 💜

When I lived in Santa Clara : “Hey Vierra” Walter would shout to me after I became a Vierra marrying Jim.

Walter always was such a positive and upbeat soul. He was such a kind and thoughtful man.
My family is so grateful to the kindness Walter always  showed my Dad (who turns 103 in January).  May he rest in peace with Marie and the rest of the family in heaven.
