For “The Heimer”;

I've been blessed with 40 years of friendship with Greg.  It has included laughing at his wry humor, cross country skiing in the moonlight, picnicking in the deserts and the mountains, doubling over with belly laughs at his story telling after ample wine, receiving wise and caring advice, seeing a great model for community service and so much more.

Even though over the last years we all gradually lost contact with the Greg we once knew, his passing has left a huge hole in the hearts of those of us who loved him.  My good thoughts go out to Dobbie's spirit and Laura and Jeff… who took such good care of Greg, allowing him to live so much of these last years at home with dignity.

I look forward joining together with all of you to give Greg a joyful “Bon Voyage” on the 23rd.

Dearest Greg, you were always a gentle man full of warmth, good cheer, and humility. It was so easy to be your friend it's no surprise you have so many. Your life is an example of goodness...you will always be a guide for me as I grow older myself.

Old friends are the best. We started UCLA together, and for a semester shared the craziness of film school.  Aftewards we shared the craziness of life.  Mus and I will miss you, Greg.
