What started out as a business relationship in the late 1980s blossomed into a genuine, heartfelt friendship.  Jim was always a delight to speak with, sharp as a whip, financially savvy and had a wisdom and warmth that was extraordinary.  I will always hold his memory dear to my heart and wish his family and loved ones peace and comfort with his passing.

I have fond memories of your kind and fair leadership when you were the Chief Executive for the Prudential Insurance Company's Western Home Office (WHO) on Wilshire Boulevard's Miracle Mile way back in 1976. We briefly spoke - perhaps twice - and while my employ was short, your warmth was long remembered. It was only today - August 12, 2015 - that I learned God had taken you to His Kingdom.
Though no longer of this world, your gifts still inspire those who worked with you.
My condolences to your loved ones.
