Jessie Fuchiek

Jessie Anne Jenks Fuchiek was born in Baraboo, WI to Walter T. and Anne (Hadfield) Jenks. She attended the University of Wisconsin and earned her degree in business. Jessie married Robert Fuchiek on July 7, 1951 in Baraboo. They then resided in Binghamton, NY where Jessie worked for Ansco Film Co.

Jessie and Bob moved to Fullerton, CA in 1960, and later purchased a home in Brentwood, CA. In Brentwood, Jessie became very active in Community United Methodist Church, holding the position of Treasurer for the Trustees and for the Community United Methodist Foundation. She was also Treasurer for the church’s preschool. Her favorite church activity was working with the United Methodist women who met in the “O.K.” room to create arts and crafts for the annual Christmas bazaar to raise money for Missions and was active for years for Angels Attic charity, acting as chairman. Jessie enjoyed knitting, crocheting and all kinds of needlework. Jessie was an avid golfer, winning many trophies, and loved doing Crossword puzzles.

Jessie is survived by her husband, Robert, her brother, Richard (Linda) Jenks, and Peter (Marianne) Jenks, one grand-niece and 3 grand-nephews.

She was preceded in death by her sister-in-law, Betty Fuchiek Merchant, her parents and her grand-parents.
