Bud was such a kind and considerate man. It saddens me to hear of this news. I hope his spirit is at rest, and my condolences go to his children.

I have good memories of spending time with Bud at his home when I visited Los Angeles . He was a good friend and I wish I could of helped him through his difficulties. It’s not easy to accept he is gone. Really miss our talks on the phone they were always entertaining. Sending Love and best wishes to his family.

Bud, I can’t believe you’re gone; this despite being aware of the struggles you so gamely tried to fight through in recent years. I was proud to share sobriety with you as well as to have been your friend of 30+ years since our SMU days. I hope you left this earth with some idea of how much you were cared for by so many. You stuck your hand out in friendship to me as I was returning to SMU, site of some of my worst days, after a two-year absence. You introduced me to your SAE friends and welcomed me into the broader circle. I’ll be forever grateful for that. I also appreciated your reaching out and offering amends a couple of years ago for things I’d long forgiven or forgotten. I will remember you as a big-hearted guy, a loyal friend and a driven entrepreneur. Your finer attributes will surely live on in your three beautiful children. My thoughts are with them, their mothers, your parents and your sister and her family. I wish you eternal peace, my friend.
