Donald Lee Donnelly

Don was born on March 13, 1938 in Los Angeles, California to parents Arthur (Art) and Constance (Connie) Donnelly.

He had one brother, Gary who was eight years younger than him.

Don attended school in the Los Angeles area and high school in Van Nuys.

He married Elizabeth (Beth) at the age of eighteen and they had four children; Lisa, Julie, Don and Tim. They were later divorced. He had one daughter, Erica with his wife Yvette whom he later divorced.

Most of Don’s career was spent working in sales and executive or administrative positions. He traveled up to 85% of the time in the U.S. and Europe. During his career he lived in California, Canada, Ft. Wayne Indiana, Tucson Arizona and Florida.

He met and married Shirley Johnson and they lived in Santa Paula, California for the past ten years.

Don and Shirley both loved to ride on his motorcycle and driving his red 1971 Mustang Convertible. They especially enjoyed driving down the coast to Malibu.

He enjoyed traveling and spending time with family and friends. One of the highlights was a trip to Ireland and visiting the castle that belonged to the Donnelly Clan for over four Centuries.

Don had a great zest for life and was always ready with a joke or a smile to brighten your day.

He will be sorely missed by those who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, his parents; Art and Connie Donnelly, his brother Gary and numerous aunts, uncles and other family members.

He is survived by his wife Shirley, her children Allan and Sharon and their families, his five children, six grandchildren, five great grandchildren and one great-great grandson, as well as numerous cousins.

There will be a memorial service on Saturday April 20, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at Lifespring Community Church - 5348 Kazuko Court, Moorpark, CA 93021.
