Lydia G. de la Torre, age 84, a resident of Oxnard, CA. Passed away peaceful at home on March 9,2018.

Lydia was born February 11, 1934 in Santa Paula, CA to Juan Gutierrez and Jennie Dominguez. As a young lady, Lydia met her future husband and the love of her life of 54 years Tereso de la Torre and was married on June 25, 1951. After their marriage, they were blessed with four sons, Benjamin, Henry, Michael and Frank. Lydia was employed with Falcon Plastics in Oxnard, followed by Oxnard Police Department as a crossing guard. She enjoyed camping with her husband and family, also bus trips to Vegas. Special gratitude to George Thurman, Enrique de la Torre, Charlie and Carlos Montano for your help, caring and special love you have showed to our Mother. Also a special Thank you to Angel of God Hospice, especially to Gracie and Joni. For your kind attention and special care you gave to our Mother.

Lydia is preceded in death by her Parents, Husband Tereso, Son Frank, Sister Cecilia Montano and recent passing of her Brother Phillip Gutierrez.

Lydia is survived by her sons Henry de la Torre of Oxnard, Michael de la Torre of Ventura, Benjamin (Cathy) de la Torre of Simi Valley, Brother-in-law Charlie Montano of Oxnard. 5 Grandchildren, 1 Great Grandson, also many Nieces and Nephews.

A visitation for Lydia will be held on Tuesday, March 20, 2018 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM with Rosary at 7:00 PM at Skillin-Carroll Mortuary, 738 E. Santa Paula St., Santa Paula, CA 93060. Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, March 21, 2018 at 10:00 AM at St Sebastian Church, 235 N 9th St, Santa Paula, CA 93060. Burial to follow at Pierce Brothers Santa Paula Cemetery, 380 Cemetery Road, Santa Paula, CA. Funeral Services are under the direction of Skillin-Carroll Mortuary.
