Maye Ludean woodruff was born on May 19, 1926, in Grubbs, Ark. She came to California when she was 18 years old with her sister Helen and her husband Jim. Here she met and married Clarence Monroe (Bill) Coker on October 17, 1947.
She worked at various jobs in the local packing houses including Limoneria, Saticoy Lemon Association, and Santa Paula Citrus. Ludean attended West Coast Fellowship, Free Will Baptist Church services and Sunday school.
Ludean was preceded in death by her husband on May 25, 1968, her brother, Luther woodruff and her sister, Irene Vines.
She is survived by her sisters, Helen Crain and Joan Estes; her cherished children, daughter, Charlotte Bradburly and son-in-law, David of Houston, Texas; and son, Danny and daughter-in-law, Nancy of Santa Paula; her precious grandchildren, Jonathan and wife Katriena, Nicki Wakefield and husband Mike, Andy, Katie; step-grandchildren, Caitlin and Logan; and her great-granddaughter, Rosina.
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, January 8, 2013, at 2 p.m. at Santa Paula Cemetery. Arrangements are in the care of Skillin-Carroll Mortuary of Santa Paula.
