

Paul was born in Long Beach California on August 13, 1923 to Cirilo and Maria Jesus Tovias.
Paul proudly served in both the Army and the Air Force as a soldier, paratrooper and pilot. He was one of very few in his generation who served in three major wars, World War II, Korean War and Vietnam. He retired from all military duty in April 1971. Paul subsequently returned to California where he went to work for Tony Bridges Chevrolet in Santa Paula until he retired in 1998.
He was preceded in death by his wife Carmen, his brothers, Bart, Nash and Joe Tovias and sisters, Benita Garcia and Eleanor Vargas.
He is survived by his companion, Paula, 2 children, Vivian Tovias and Larry Tovias along with 6 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Santa Clara Valley Hospice.
Services will be held on Monday, February 5, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in Santa Paula with a viewing preceding the mass from 8:00 a.m. to 9:15 a.m. at Skillin-Carroll Mortuary, 738 E. Santa Paula St., Santa Paula, CA.
