Richard Duane Smith

It is with great sadness that we announce the loss of Richard (Dick, Papa) Duane Smith. He suffered many health causes. He was a devoted loving husband, father and grandfather. He went to sleep on February 5, 2011 surrounded by his loved ones. He was born in Rogersville, Missouri to Otto and Elva Smith on December 15, 1936. He spent 8 years in the Navy and worked at Grumman Aero Space as a financial analyst for 25 years retiring in 1995. He was preceded in death by his mother and father Otto and Elva Smith, Sisters Venita Smith, Alice Wright and Ila Filoso, brothers Donald Smith, and Dennis Smith. He leaves behind his loving wife of 49 years Ann, daughters Beverly Smith, Melissa (Ted) Benson, Tammy Munoz, Heather Smith and the light of his life grandson Aaron Munoz. He also leaves behind searching the house for him Lady (his chocolate lab), Marshall, Minerva, Sunny-D, Sam and Patches (his cats) and grand dog Rusty Benson. He leaves behind several nieces and nephews. Memorial Services will be held on March 12, 2011 at 4:00 P.M. at the Camarillo Seventh-Day Adventist Church 3975 E. Las Posas Road., Camarillo, CA 93010.
