She was born on August 27, 1929 in Canton, China. She married Ling O. Hom at the age of 17 and immigrated to the United States to live the American Dream. She was a homemaker, caring for her children and grandchildren. When the kids got older, she helped out at the family restaurant, Lin’s Chinese Food before it closed in 2010.
She enjoyed cooking, gardening and working at the restaurant. Family was a very important aspect of her life and she loved spending time with children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Wah is survived by Sons: Danny and Rick Hom; Daughter: Eva Witt; Daughter-in-law: Lisa Hom; Son-in-law: Allen Witt; Grandsons: Jeffrey Hom, Jason Hom; Granddaughters: Cyndy Jhung, Jalane Waites, Jessica Hom, Karen Hom; Grand Son-in-law: Timothy Jhung, Alex Waites; Grand Daughter-in-law: Aimee Hom; Great Granddaughter: Zoe Jhung; Great Grandson: Ethan Jhung. She is also survived by her three brothers, sisters-in-law, numerous nephews, nieces, grand nephews and grand nieces. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ling O. Hom and her daughter-in-law, Daisy Hom.
There will be a visitation at the Skillin-Carroll Mortuary Chapel in Santa Paula on Tuesday, January 29, 2019 from 4-8pm. On Wednesday, January 30, 2019 there will be a celebration of her life in the Chapel at 10am at the same location, followed by a 12pm graveside service at Pierce Brothers Santa Paula Cemetery. The Celebration of Life will continue after the Graveside Service at Caffe Verona in Santa Paula.
