I loved Lenora George as a friend. She was such a kind friend to me after I lost my husband Harold. 
I had worked with her husband RO for many years as well as he was a dear friend to my husband. They enjoyed many games of golf together. 
I also became friends with her sisters Faye and Brenda . We sat together in church as well as . Lenora and I were in the same Sunday School class at Redemption church.  I miss her and will see her again one day.

Lenora was a lady at all times. Always smiling. I worked with her at UM . She was always a joy to see because she was beautiful on the inside and gorgeous on the outside.  We need more Lenoras in this world.

A sweet, beautiful, happy Christian lady, who I first knew a Shiloh Baptist Church. "Bye, Cookie Monster", she and her husband would say and stoop down to hug Darryl, one of my four sons, whose Cookie Monster  shirt and pants granted such title. They loved the little Sunday School children, they taught.  At U. of Mobile, I'd see Lenora in the office when I occasioned the Library.  In  Wal-Mart or Big Lots, she was never too busy to greet and chat.  A truly great lady. My sincere condolence to the family.

I cherish the memories of having known Lenora and her family.  Lenora was one of the kindest, most wonderful people I have ever known and she will be greatly missed. Heaven is rejoicing as another saint has joined the Heavenly host.  She will always be loved by so many.

We will always miss Lenora.  She was such a sweet soul and touched so many lives.  I always loved seeing her at the senior dances.  Heaven gained a sweet angel and she is now home.

Lenora and her family came into our lives in 1993 when we moved in next door to them.  It was just before Christmas and she brought us a plate of cookies and invited us to First Baptist North Mobile, now Redemption.  That was the beginning of working in our yards together, sharing food with each other, running over to borrow something we needed for a new recipe and just sitting and talking.  She was everything I could have wanted in a next door neighbor.  We grew even closer when she lost R.O.  I am going to miss her so much.  I know where she is though and look forward to seeing her again.  Love you my friend.

Where do I start with all the 56 years of memories That  our family’s shared.      Lenora  was a friend that“always “ had time for you.  Baking a special cake for you,helping with decorating for the children’s wedding then baby showers, giving each other hair perms.(sometimes not so good)and then all the grandkids came along,same thing all over again. Our family’s were is church together at Shiloh Baptist for at least 20 years and Lenora and I accepted Jesus as our savior in the same revival service. We were neighbors together, RO and Jim worked together at Union Carbide/UOP, we played board games almost every week,went on numerous vacations together. They say if you have one special friend in this life you are blessed person. Lenora is that person!  We will meet again !  My prayers are with you, Rob,Renee,Trish,Robbie,Olivia &Jessica .
