Billy J Jones

Billy Jeffery Jones (BJ) departed this life on July 14, 2025, at the age of 65. He was preceded in death by his mother, Billie Dove Williams Jones, his father, Albert Elgin Jones, his brothers, Robert Eugene Chason and Jerry Elgin Jones. He is survived by his sister, Lila Jones Davis and brother Jimmy Lee Jones (Stephanie), 3 nieces, Candy Lambeth (Jeff), Sabrina Griffin, Camden Jones, 3 nephews, Brian Davis, Robby Chason (Harmony), Kevin Chason (Brandy), as well as great nieces, nephews, great, great nieces and cousins. He also left behind two very dear friends Deborah Clark and Kathy Reed.

Billy was born on October 16, 1959 in Mobile, Al and grew up in Prichard, AL. Billy worked for Cummins South for many years in the parts department. Billy was an avid racing fan; he started working with his dad and Uncle Cecil with their race cars as a teenager. He continued to help many racers over the years with their cars and was best known for his sheet metal work. Billy was a long time member of Shadow Lawn Baptist Church, where he worked the overhead and sound system. He loved his Church and Church family.

The family would like to thank the staff at Kensington Nursing Facility for their love and care of Billy for the last 3 years.
