Billy Frank Thomas

Master Sergeant Billy Frank Thomas ranking E7, at age 92 of Jasper, Alabama was called home on January 15, 2025 surrounded by his loving family.Billy retired from the US Air Force after serving 20 years so very proudly, with a National Defense service metal and a Good Conduct metal and many others. He also served many years in the Civil Service.He was born on May 31, 1932 to his mother Hazel L. Thomas and his father Vilas Leon Thomas.He proceeded in death by his loving parents Vilas Leon Thomas & Hazel L Thomas, his brother Vilas Leon Thomas Jr. and his sister Mary Ruth Williams, his daughter Billie Jo Thomas, his beautiful loving wife Geneva L. Thomas andhis son Bradley Bankston.Billy will always be remembered for his kind heart and adventurous spirit, and for the steadfast love that he showed everyone around him. His legacy will live on in the hearts of all of his family and friends, as well, as all the lives that he touched.He was a very independent spirit and strived for peace and happiness always.He is survived by his sister Margaret Smyly (Peyton) his sister Brenda Jones, his daughter Sheryl Rowe, his son Billy D Thomas (Minette) his son Garry Thomas (Gaylenne) his son Frankie Thomas (Tammy) his daughter Jean Thomas his son Jeff Bankston (Jenni) his daughter Belinda Conner (Fred) and a host of grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.Pallbearers are as follows:John Thomas, Caleb Thomas, Michael Pham, Aaron Ore, Jerome Head and Chase Bankston.Honorary Pallbearers are as follows:Chase Clary and Michael Thomas.Billy will forever live in our hearts, and we will carry on his love and legacy forever.
