

Charles Edward Brown, Sr., 79, passed peacefully on November 26, 2025, surrounded by the love of his family. Born on August 6, 1946, Charles lived a life marked by service, strength, and deep devotion to the people he cherished.
In his younger years, Charles attended Bible college, where he grew in his faith and developed a deep love for God—something he shared generously with those around him throughout his life.
An Army veteran, Charles proudly served his country with honor. He went on to build a respected career as a diesel mechanic, known for his strong work ethic, loyalty, and willingness to help anyone in need. A true outdoorsman and fisherman, Charles found joy on the water and in the quiet of nature. He was also known for his quick wit, his love for Auburn football, and the way he could make anyone laugh with his humor and timing. Above all, Charles deeply loved his wife and family.His life was guided by the scripture:“I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” – Philippians 4:13
Charles is survived by his loving wife, Lawana Brown;his children:

• Charles “Charlie” Brown Jr. (Teresa)
• Christie Bertram (Darrell)
• Dwight Lowrey (Monica)
He is also survived by his siblings:
• Linda Cammuso (Jerry)
• Ernest Brown
He leaves behind numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, all of whom he loved deeply.
Charles was preceded in death by:
• his son, Jeremy Brown
• his brothers, Robert Brown and James “Jimbo” Brown
• his parents, William E. Brown and Willie Estelle Brown
Charles leaves behind a legacy of love, faith, and strength that will continue in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
