Dorothy Louise Burdette, 80, a native of Honoraville, Alabama and a resident of Saraland, Alabama, passed away on Wednesday, April 8, 2020 at her residence. Dorothy worked for South Central Bell and worked her way up to assistant manager with AT&T. She retired after 30 years of dedicated service. Dorothy also attended the University of Alabama for 2 years. after graduating from Vigor High School. She is preceded in death by her mother, Adelle Wasden; sister, Lucille Hatten; brothers, Willie Joe Mothershed, W.J.(Christine) Mothershed, and Frank (Bobbie) Mothershed. Dorothy is survived by her husband of 57 years, Robert A. Burdette; as well as many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great, great nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends she loved dearly.
A private graveside service will be held from Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens in Saraland, Alabama. Bro. Brent Rawson will officiate. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Alzheimer's Association, 2151 Highland Ave. #210 Birmingham, AL 35205. The family is so grateful and blessed for the care the caregivers gave her. She loved them and they lover her. A huge thank you to Tanya, Kimberly, Byrd, Felicia, Arlene, and Kenya.
