78. Born on January 26, 1947, in Malcolm, Alabama, she will be remembered for her strength and love for others.
Dottie was preceded in death by her parents, Lindbergh and Mittie Mae Johnston, and her brother, Glenn Phillip Johnston, Sr. She was the loving mother of Alysia (Kris) Holzaepfel and devoted grandmother to Aarron Holzaepfel. She also leaves behind beloved brothers, George Johnston, Tommy Johnston, and Anthony Johnston and sister, Eula (Jerry) Andrews, as well as her nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
Dottie's early years of employment were with Mobile Infirmary and the American Red Cross, where she had many friends that were like family. Her later years were spent as an agent with Brett-Robinson Real Estate and Hartley Real Estate, and she retired as a property manager for B.O. Richardson.
Visitation will be at Forest Lawn Funeral Home on Friday, January 23, 2026 at 11 AM with a chapel service at noon.
